Pgtech Asphalt Beam

Designed to sit at the rear end of the lorry to gently push the lorry forward as the asphalt layer is applied.

It's easily mounted in the existing bolt holes where the draw beam is with the bolt spacing 60x60cc (M16) or 50x50cc (M14) using bolts from manufacturers like VBG.

The most common bolt spacing for the draw beam is 60x60cc, see the explanatory image under information.

They are detachable brackets which are mounted against the frame and the beam is then attached to these with the included screws for overhangs.

The wear plastic located on the mounting surfaces is replaceable, allowing for the beam to be refreshed between seasons.

We've also developed an attachment that enables the push beam to be mounted if you have a Mählers S-boom, choose the attachment you want under the heading.

The asphalt beam is powder coated in the standard chassis grey colour (RAL 7021) used by Volvo, Scania, Mercedes, DAF, and MAN.

Pgtech Asphalt Beam is now approved in accordance with ECE R58.03.

The approval confirms that the product complies with the latest European requirements for rear underrun protection on heavy vehicles. ECE R58.03 sets high standards for design, strength and safety. The certification confirms that the product has been tested and approved for use on the European market.
