A truck must be equipped with rear lights including position lights, brake lights, turn signals, reverse lights, and rear fog lights. At the front, it must have position lights, high beam and low beam headlights, fog lights, and turn signals. On the sides, side marker lights with amber illumination and reflectors are required.

As long as the legal requirements regarding placement are followed, there is no minimum or maximum limit to the number of lights a truck may have.

Trucks with a length exceeding six meters, excluding incomplete truck chassis, must be equipped with one or more side marker lights emitting amber light to the side.
